week 1

This week was mostly successful.
I ate healthier than I have for a very long time. I exercised 5 days out of the 7, who can complain about that? I have started to follow a 10k training program, http://www.halhigdon.com/10ktraining/10knovice.htm. I have switched some of the days around, but I have planned to include all the workouts every week. I am going to start looking for a 10k race in March that I can participate in. Last week, Jeff and I took body measurements and took "before" pictures. I will probably end up posting these sometime. probably when I take "progress" measurements and pictures :)
There were some areas I failed in this week. I drove to school every day. I had wanted to try to find alternative transport for at least one day. I didn't try very hard, but this week, I will make a point to do this. I also could have used my time more wisely this week. The workload has been light so far, which lulls me into a false sense of security. I will be jolted from that this next week when assignments will begin to come due, lab will start, etc.
I know this is short and such....hopefully I will get better at this throughout the year.
